Healthy Behaviors

Our NWPT spring makeover challenge doesn’t include a prize purse, but if clients want to do that on the side, then that can be motivating for some people. Regardless of whether someone is motivated by just winning, team peer pressure, the prizes for the winning team or a “Biggest Loser” money pool, the most important thing is that we only promote and condone healthy eating and exercise behaviors. We want to assure that everyone participating isn’t starving themselves and doing anything excessive that isn’t health promoting. This should be a launch to a healthy lifestyle for our rookies and a ramping up for our veteran clients…we should all be focused on just getting our clients to be more disciplined with nutrition and exercise. We’re all motivated by different things but the most important thing as trainers is that we think big picture and ultimately we want our clients to be doing things that they can sustain and will bring lasting results versus putting all the weight right back on once the challenge is over.Remind them that there is NO FINISH LINE! 6 weeks plus 6 weeks plus 6 weeks etc. Giving your clients the tools and helping them develop healthy habits will get everyone closer to the results they are looking for….and keeping it that way!
