Fit Pros – have an “About Us” section on your website? We are going to try something new with our “Meet Your Trainers” bio page. This project will give us a fun way to highlight our amazing staff and gives us something exciting to include on social media and in our enewsletters.
New Twist on Highlighting Your Staff:
Start by assigning the project to a couple staff members/managers.
Have the assigned staff members set up “interview” times with all the members of your staff.
Don’t forget to sign up to automatically receive my latest blog post in your inbox!
Right at the top of the page.
Have a list of interview questions ready. Tell staff members that they don’t have to answer all of the questions and that they can add questions during their interview. This is all for fun and to show off the individual personalities on our team!
Sample interview questions:
What’s your name?
Where are you from?
What do you do at NWPT? What’s your specialty/educational/certification/sporting background?
What do you like about working at NWPT?
What does your own training entail?
What are your hobbies?
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
What is your favorite binge watch on TV?
Do you have any hidden talents? What are they?
What was your first job?
Who’s your celebrity crush?
What’s your favorite healthy food? Favorite indulgence?
What’s your favorite TV show? Movie? Book?
What’s one thing that would surprise people about you?
What’s your favorite quote?
What’s the most important message you can give people about committing to their health and fitness?
Video the interview.
Use an easy video editing software to edit the video to a min or two for use on social media etc.
Add the video to your “About Us” page under the individual team member.
Schedule a week of social media posts and enewsletters highlighting this team member.
Getting the interviews scheduled, editing the video and getting them posted may take awhile, so give yourself and your staff enough time to complete the process.
Remember – this should be a fun project so try not to put too much pressure on your staff to complete it quickly.
Part of what makes Personal Training so special is that it is “personal.” We want our clients and potential new clients to feel comfortable and confident in the trainer they are working with. The more we can highlight our staff….the more likely a client or potential new client will feel that they know and trust us.
Check back in a couple weeks when I post our first staff highlight and give it a try in the meantime. Comment here with your successes!
Yours in health, fitness & business,

Hey did you know that I wrote the ONLY complete training business system designed to help you run a million dollar personal training business?! You can have this same business system that will help you work SMARTER and generate HUGE profits like we do here at Northwest Personal Training. The fee to purchase the Business of Personal Training System can be made up within 1 month of increased PT sales and there are NO recurring franchise or licensing fees. A comparable business system in other industries would require an initial investment of tens of thousands of dollars.
