We recently took out a full page print ad in our local newspaper. Yep, print newspaper. You may be asking why I decided to do this and what kind of results we saw from the ad…..here is a summary of why and how we did this.

Why Did We Take Out a Print Newspaper Ad?
The Columbian (our local newspaper) and I have been working together through the pandemic. When they have an incredible ad offer for me, they will reach out to see if we want to take it.
I wouldn’t pay $4000 for a full page ad in our local newspaper because the return isn’t typically there. However, if the newspaper has an open space and it’s about to go to print and needs a filler, they will reach out to me and offer me a full page ad for $600.
They are doing this for businesses that have been significantly impacted due to Covid.
It’s a win:win ..…they get some funds in for an empty space and we get great exposure for a much lower price.
What Kind of Response Did We Get From This Ad?
Print doesn’t always have the best response, but since very few are doing it right now….it causes us to stand out.
Win for us! Our monthly new clients have more than doubled since the ads have been placed!
How Do We Track The Response From Our Ad?
We used a promo code that new clients need to show to cash in on the promotion.
What Content Did We Use In The Ad?
Used a photo
Focused on the benefits
Had a call to action
Included contact information
Used award icons to demonstrate that we are serious about what we do and will take great care of them!
Fit Pros – do some digging. Find out if your local newspaper has any kind of discounts for last minute ads etc. Give print ads a try if the price is right!
