Internal Marketing – Keep It Up!

As fitness business managers and owners we know that having solid internal marketing strategies in place (including a solid referral program) are some of the best ways to keep our current clients engaged, coming back for more and sending their friends and family our way.

KristinI have shown you lots of different options to include internal marketing in your fitness businesses and today I wanted to share another quick tip with you.  Our trainer Kristin Healey sent out this email to just the participants of her Monday Morning group training class and I wanted to share it with you and then explain why simple communications like these can make a HUGE difference to your clients and your bottom line.

Here is the email:

“Hey Gang,

I know that I will me feeling MY muscles tomorrow!!  That was a tough workout today. Go ahead… pat yourselves on the back. For those of you that couldn’t make it in WE MIIISSSSSED YOU!! We did a Tabata workout and it was hard but we made it and are better for it;)

Girlfriends & Dudes Triathlon:

This is a sprint distance triathlon that we host.  It is a great beginner course or if you have been doing triathlons for a while this is a fast course with lots of great scenery!

We ask your trainers to send out emails like this to their personal training clients and group training clients.  These type of emails do a few things….

1) They show our clients that we care about their adherence to their fitness goals and recognize when they have worked hard.  What better way to call out successes and also call out who didn’t attend class then a quick email like this?

2) It gives Kristin a chance to personally invite (and remind) our clients of our upcoming events.

3) It proves that our customer service is top of the line, which keeps clients coming back for more and they are more likely to refer friends and family to our studio!
